MSNBC spotlight on “Weir”d

MSNBC has an article today called “Weir says he won’t stop being ‘princessy’”. It’s a part of a spotlight series they’re doing on some of the main athletes from the U.S. that will be in the Olympics.

Some of the quotes they got from him are real gems:

“I am very princessy as far as travel is concerned and having a nice room and things like that. Sorry to say ‘princessy,â€â€™ he added, laughing, “but that’s what we do.â€

Later when talking about how much work he went through moving in:

“I hate carrying my own luggage and I hate trekking up stairs. I like a nice bed to be laid out for me. So it’s not any of that. It’s not very comfortable,†he said.

Just a thought, but I would venture to guess that the “not very comfortable” accomodations are probably five star rooms, and better than what a lot of Italians will ever see, but I guess that’s an American celebrity being an American celebrity.
