Running out of Womb
The Twin Journey

Well, we had an ultrasound last Thursday, but could not get in to see the doc and talk about it until Monday. Baby B wasn’t really cooperating for pictures, however we did get a funny one of him kicking his brother in the face—starting already…

Then we got a good one of Baby A:

So, doctor appointment went pretty well. My blood pressure is a little up (138/60) but not super bad yet. I managed to gain 10 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks (!?) I definately haven’t been eating enough to gain that much. But doc says (and I can see) it is all water weight–I’m quite puffy and often swollen these days. As for me, the ol’ uterus is measuring at around 36 weeks–so I’m actually on the smaller side for twins but still in the normal range.
As for the babies, they estimated Baby B at 3lbs 3oz and Baby A as 3 lbs 11oz. That isn’t too bad, but it seems that Baby B is not growing as fast as his brother. So we’ll be doing another ultrasound in a couple weeks to check on his growth and make sure he’s still doing okay.

I have the first NST (Non Stress Test) on Monday, regular appointment the following Monday, and then ultrasound and appointment the Monday after that. That’s about it on the baby front!
